General Eligibility

The Prepaid Awards are open to the following types of organisations anywhere in the world. Here are the descriptions and general eligibility criteria:

• Programme Managers
  An organisation that manages prepaid card programmes and services for consumer, corporate and government use and to meet business and client needs.
• Retailers
  Any organisation that activates its own prepaid cards that are then redeemed either in its own stores and/or on its own web sites.
• Non-Retailer Issuers
  Any organisation that sells cards that can be used in an open network, identified by an Issuer Identification Number (IIN).
• BIN Sponsors
  Any organisation that offers other companies the rights to use its own Bank Identification Number (BIN) for its prepaid card programme.
• Processors
  Any organisation that provides a service to other companies and/or itself to process transactions that activate, redeem or top up value on a prepaid card.
• Scheme
  An organisation either domestic regional or global that has a technology network in order to accept card transactions where their brand is displayed.
• Third Party Service/Product Providers
  Any organisation that provides a service or product that enables companies to sell their products or services on a stored value card.
• Distributors
  Any organisation that distributes, re-sells or acts as an agent for its own and/or other companies’ prepaid cards for businesses.
• Card Manufacturers
  Any organisation that manufactures prepaid cards.
• Business Support/Service Provider
  Any organisation that provides advice, guidance, intelligence or expertise to companies elsewhere in the value chain.
